1. KnightVision

KnightVision

Once you are admitted to Calvin (not admitted?), you become a member of KnightVision, Calvin’s eCommunity. A username and instructions for setting a passphrase are sent to each new student shortly after admission. Using these, you can access the secure environment of KnightVision and e-Enroll, Calvin’s online enrollment system.

KnightVision is Calvin’s eCommunity, an online environment that brings together academic communities, announcements, social activities, student discussion boards, student organizations, course registration, course material, and more in an easy-to-use format.

2. StudentMail

StudentMaiil
Calvin's StudentMail is powered by Google's Gmail service. Once you have activated your KnightVision account, your StudentMail account will also be activated. StudentMail uses the same username and passphrase as KnightVision. You can learn more about StudentMail here.

3. Novell

Novell

Your Novell account gives you access to login to any public lab computer on campus. It also allows you to print to any printer in those labs. With your Novell account, you will also be given online storage space to store any academic or personal files that you wish.

CalvinStudents (wireless)

 wireless

Calvin has a growing wireless network on campus that you may connect to. You will have to be on campus in order to complete the setup of the CalvinStudents wireless network but please feel free to setup CalvinStudents up through the authentication step before you arrive on campus.

Setup CalvinStudents wireless

No matter if you connect to ResNet or to CalvinStudents, you will have to register your computer with our network. Once you are on campus and connected to one of these two networks, open up a Web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.) and you will be directed to the registration pages. Your computer will pass registration as long as you meet our latest system requirements.

Symantec Endpoint

Symantec Endpoint

Calvin requires that the latest version of Symantec Endpoint is installed on your computer before you can connect to our network. Please do not purchase any antivirus or antispyware programs as they will have to be removed before installing Symantec Antivirus.

You will be prompted to enter your KnightVision username and passphrase in order to download Symantec.
