Wimba Classroom:
To take part in free communications using Wimba Classroom, you need:
- A USB-based webcam (for video) and/or a headset (which reduces audio feedback)
as well as - The JAVA runtime environment (already on Calvin's systems)
Depending upon your existing hardware, communication needs, and personal preferences, select one of the following three choices in order to enjoy free meetings/Webinars:
- Logitech's Webcam Pro 9000* -- a USB-based Webcam, for audio and video:
- Logitech's Webcam C905* -- a USB-based Webcam, for audio and video:

- Logitech USB-based microphone* -- for audio only:

***OR***
- A Jabra headset* -- audio only:

* NOTE:
Be sure that your system is properly recognizing your Web-cam, microphone, or headset.
Participant Requirements
- Java runtime environment -- click on the "Free Java Download" button at http://java.com/en/

- Windows 2000+, Mac OSX 10.3+* or Linux**
- 128 MB RAM (256 MB recommended)
- IE 6.0+, Safari 1.2+, Firefox 1.5 - 2.0 (Browser must be Java and JavaScript enabled)
- Internet access at 56k or above
Presenter Requirements
- Java runtime environment -- click on the "Free Java Download" button at http://java.com/en/

- Windows 2000+, Mac OSX 10.3+* or Linux**
- 256 MB RAM (higher recommended)
- IE 6.0+, Safari 1.2+, Firefox 1.5 - 2.0 (Browser must be Java and JavaScript enabled)
- Internet access at 56k or above (Broadband strongly recommended)
* Mac OS X 10.3 is not supported for Wimba Classroom 5.1.1+
* IE for Mac not supported
** Presenters cannot display content via Application Sharing using Linux. However, participants using Linux can view Application Sharing content
**Audio and Video is only compatible with Linux on Wimba Classroom versions 4.2+
