Teaching & Learning: Clickers (CPS) T&L

Calvin Implementations

There are currently two models for deploying clickers on campus, the Higher Education Model and the classroom bagged set model.

Higher Education/KnightVision Model

Students purchase their clicker and/or enrollment code from the campus store and register their clicker with their KnightVision course(s). This allows the instructor to directly upload grades and results from CPS into their KnightVision grade center.

Instructors currently using the Higher Education Model (2009-2010) include:

  • Loren Haarsma - Physics 133
  • Steve Steenwyk - Physics 235
  • Deborah Haarsma - Physics 235
  • David DeHeer - Biology 141
  • Amy Wiltersmann - Biology 141
  • David Koetje - Biology 141
  • Anding Shen - Biology 141
  • Bob Keeley - Education 102
  • Jane Genzink - Education 102
  • Brian Bolt - PE 332
  • Herb Fernwever - Chem 103
  • Eric Arnoys - Chemistry 103
  • Kumar Sinniah - Chemistry 103
  • Roger DeKock - Chemistry 104

Classroom Bagged Sets (of 32)

Instructors can reserve a bagged set of clickers to be used in their classroom for a variety of assessments and activities. This model does not require the students to purchase their clicker and/or enrollment code, but there is not direct interface with KnightVision using this model.
