KnightVision: Getting Started

This faculty development workshop serves as an introduction for those interested in using KnightVision and the KV Content System to enhance their course(s). By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- post a syllabus and other course content into their KV course
- customize their course environment using Course Options
- collect student assignments digitally
- create announcements

KnightVision: Learning the Content System

Learn how to use the Content System in KnightVision to its full potential. In this workshop, you will learn about the benefits of using the KV-CS and also learn how to:
- save, manage and share files in the KV-CS
- share/reuse materials across sections, courses, and organizations
- link to files in the Content System from your courses or organizations
- use ePortfolios to evaluate and assess student development

KnightVision: Communication, assignments & collaborative learning

In this faculty development workshop we explore the various communication features available in KnightVision and how they may effectively be used in your course(s). Participants will investigate how these tools can be used to create an interactive and collaborative learning environment. During the workshop, the following methods of digital communication will be introduced:
- discussion boards
- blogs and wikis
- the virtual classroom
- podcasting
- the assignment feature
- Scholar
- and others

KnightVision: Assessment, feedback & the Grade Center

Participants in this faculty development workshop learn how to use the quizzing feature for on-line assessments and surveys. The KnightVision Grade Center will also be featured along with statistical tools to explore course utilization, student tracking, and weighting grades. Upon completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- create question pools
- create and administer quizzes and surveys
- provide timely feedback to students
- weight items in the grade book
- drop the lowest grade from a grouping of scores
