Don’t forget to check out our summer technology learning opportunities. We’d especially like to encourage you to join us for one of our Moodle workshops. This summer we are offering both in-class and online workshops. Don’t have time to come to a workshop? Take Moodle training online from the comfort of your own office!

Moodle (classroom workshop series)
This classroom-based workshop will teach participants the Moodle basics as well as how to move their KnightVision course(s) from KnightVision to Moodle. Three face-to-face workshops, approximately three (3) hours each, will be offered. Light refreshments will be provided. Seating is limited to fifteen (15) participants.

Moodle (online workshop series)
This two week, online workshop will teach participants Moodle basics as well as how to move their KnightVision course(s) from KV to Moodle. Each day 1-2 new Moodle features will be introduced, then participants will be given time to implement these features into their Moodle course(s). Participants should expect to spend approximately 30 minutes each day on learning activities. The instructor will be available via Moodle as well as by phone or email. An optional 2-hour open workshop session will be offered during the second week. Seating is limited to ten (10) participants.

Calling all instructors using clickers in Fall 2010

Posted by

Are you thinking about using clickers in your Fall 2010 courses? One item of note to consider as you make this decision is that the clickers do not work with Moodle yet, so you will need to continue to use KV for your courses using clickers. (The clickers should be fully integrated with Moodle by Fall 2011.)

If you are going to use clickers, please send an email to Krista Spahr (click the Posted by link above) with the following information by June 1, 2010.

  • In which courses/sections will you be using clickers?
  • In which rooms will you be using clickers?
  • How many students do you expect will need clickers?

Once you have submitted your request(s), Teaching & Learning and the Campus Store will use the provided information to:

  • order clickers and enrollment codes from eInstruction,
  • include clickers as an item on the textbooks/materials listing(s) for your course(s), and
  • equip the appropriate classrooms with the CPS software and receivers.

Please note: For any requests made after August 1, 2010, we cannot guarantee that clickers (w/ enrollment codes) will be available for your students to purchase before classes begin.

If you have any questions, please contact Krista Spahr (x6-6819).
