Wear Calvin Day!

Sara Burde Tibbe '98 participated in Wear Calvin Day while in Mississippi. She writes, "On 2/17/06, I didn't wear my Calvin shirt for long. I replaced it with a Tyvek suit that I wore during "mold remediation" work in East Biloxi. My husband and I spent the day with a group from our church (New Hope Christian Church in Bartlett, TN) working with the organization Hands on USA. This group has been working in Biloxi since Katrina, doing debris removal, demolition, mold remediation, and rebuilding. During mold remediation, we began by using grinders to remove the mold from a house's studs. Then we vacuumed the mold spores. We ended with a thorough wipe-down of the house with a bleach solution. Tough work! But, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to help in bringing a little hope to an area that is still devastated.
