Luncheon

Calvin alumni are invited for lunch and networking with
alumni attorneys and judges. Alumni will also have the opportunity to
meet with some current Calvin pre-law students and professor Jeff Tatum,
Calvin's pre-law advisor, will give an update on the pre-law program.
 Following
lunch, there will be a conversation with Mr. Jorge L. Fernandez '71. Mr.
Fernandez received his law degree from Wayne State University School of
Law in 1979. In September 2004 he was sworn in as city attorney for the
City of Miami. Prior to that, he was the first county attorney for Sarasota
County, establishing the office and implementing groundbreaking programs
in “preventative practice” and staff attorneys’ professional
development. He received the Florida Bar’s Claude Pepper Outstanding
Government Lawyer Award for 1998 and the Government Hispanic Business
Advocate of the Year Award from the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Alumni Law Professionals Directory to each alumna/us at the luncheon.
