Show and share our Calvin spirit on Homecoming Friday and Saturday. Wherever you are, wear something Calvin. Send your pictures and/or stories to the Calvin Alumni Office (alumni@calvin.edu) for possible publication. Calvin faculty and staff — led by their president and provost — will be joining you in their Calvin sweatshirts and other maroon and gold apparel. Departments with 100% participation on Friday, February 6, will receive a gift certificate for a free box of Krispy Kreme donuts!

River City Improv: 10 Years of Laughs *

River City ImprovRiver City Improv celebrates its 10th anniversary this year! RCI is a team of comedians who involve the audience in variou antics and are guaranteed to make you laugh. Their shows weave skits, games and songs with audience suggestions to create unique entertainment experiences for each show.

River City Improv continually strives to inhabit a peculiar spot in the comedic continuum: to be fun, funny, witty and sometimes sarcastic but never offensive or childish. Their mission is to "make people laugh and cheer in as many ways as possible, without being offensive."

Come to a show and laugh with us. We have a ticket saved just for you. And make sure to bring some creative suggestions!

This 20th annual contest features lip sync and other upbeat acts prepared by students on Friday night in the Fieldhouse. An alumni/friends seating area will be reserved. Immediately following is the Homecoming Dance. Check out the photos from Airband 2003!

Alumni Design Competition
Saturday, February 7, 1:30 p.m., Center Art Gallery

2004 Calvin Alumni Design CompetitionShow us what you've done since you've graduated — aside from paying back those student loans! The Center Art Gallery is hosting an exhibit of alumni design pieces (brochures, publishing/books/CDs, web design/interactive, etc.). A $250 Best of Show award will be presented at the Awards Ceremony and Opening Reception during Homecoming. The exhibit runs February 6 - March 27, 2004. Art alumni are also invited to attend an art alumni luncheon at the Prince Conference Center.

Catch the Knights in action at the Fieldhouse! The Kay Tiemersma and Joe Beré Awards will be presented at halftime of the men's varsity game to Annie Vander Laan Van Goor and Joel Klooster, respectively, for their leadership and academic/athletic excellence.

Please join us immediately following the final game to chat with old and new friends. Many alumni gather according to their years of attendance at Calvin College. Enjoy a cup of coffee or punch and expect to see familiar faces. Then head to the Commons for an all-you-can-eat pizza buffet!

An Evening with Bruce Cockburn *

Bruce CockburnHighly-acclaimed Canadian folk singer-songwriter Bruce Cockburn will be in concert in the Fine Arts Center. Learn more about this artist at www.brucecockburn.com or see a review by Calvin's Student Activities Office.

There will be a Student Activities Office conversation with Bruce Cockburn at 3 p.m. that day in Fine Arts Center Room 224.
