Tuesday,

This year, for the first time, the college will celebrate the
beginning of second semester with a convocation service. We are planning
a lively service of praise to celebrate our re-gathering as a community,
paying particular attention to those who have been off-campus for first-semester
or interim. The service will begin with slides and videos from those off-campus
classes, so if you're going to be off-campus this interim, please consider
sending some digital photos back to campus for us to use in this service.
Our guest speaker at this convocation will be Dr. Richard Mouw,
president of Fuller seminary and former Calvin professor. The service
will focus on Isaiah 60 and on themes drawn from Dr. Mouw's book When
the Kings Come Marching In, which is based on that passage. Please
note that there will be a modified
class schedule on Tuesday so that all members of the Calvin community
can attend convocation.
