Calvin
College Alumni Choir Experience a blast from the past and a look to
the future in this delightful evening of favorite musical themes from
classic films, movie musicals, comedies and Disney flicks. Hosted by Tom
Leestma, the Calvin College Alumni Choir and special guests will present
an unforgettable night for kids of all ages.
Monk

Gezon Auditorium. Come enjoy this trio's jazzy, guitar-based, psychedelic

Homecoming
Candlelight Dinner
* Sat., Feb. 3; 6:00 p.m. - Commons
Gather with alumni and friends, young and old, for a fun, informal dining
experience. We will also honor the recipients of the Outstanding Service
Award: Dirk Pruis '82 and the Calvin Academy of Lifelong Learning. Dinner
will draw to a close by 7:45 p.m. so those that would like to attend the
Alumni Choir concert ("A Knight at the Movies") may do so.

This 18th annual contest features lipsync and other upbeat acts prepared
by students on Friday night in the Fieldhouse. An alumni/friends seating
area will be reserved. Immediately following is the Homecoming Dance!
Alumni
Swim Meet
Sat., Feb. 3; 9:30 a.m. - Bergsma Natatorium
This event is open to all alumni; prior swim team membership is not required.
Register and warm up at 9:00, meet begins at 9:30. Age groups offered
in 10-year increments. 50 and 100 yard races in all events, 200's as demanded,
and choice of 400 Individual Medley or 500 freestyle. Relays and novelty
events (suggestions are now being taken) included. Prizes will be awarded
as well as pseudo-immortality on the "alumni all-time top 100 list." Spectators
welcome! Last year's age range was 21 to 50 something. Mail or e-mail
Dave Mange '77 (118 Deer Path, Battle
Creek, MI 49015) or appear at 9:00 on Saturday.
Basketball
Games * Sat., Feb. 3; 12:45 &
3:00 p.m. - Fieldhouse
Catch the double-header court action in the Fieldhouse! The Calvin Knights
take on the St. Mary's Belles and the Orchard Lake Eagles: the women's
varsity teams take the court at 12:45 p.m. and the men's varsity teams
at 3:00 p.m. The Kay Tiemersma and Joe Beré Awards will be presented at
the Athletic Brunch at 11:00 a.m. and will be announced at half-time for
Sara Gritter from Wisc.and Aaron Winkle from MI, respectively, for their
leadership and academic/athletic excellence.

Please join us immediately following the men's varsity basketball game
to chat with old and new friends. Many alumni gather according to their
years of attendance at Calvin College. Enjoy a cup of coffee or punch
and expect to see familiar faces. (NOTE: Reunion Class photos will be
taken in July at Midsummer at Calvin ONLY.)
