"Knights of Honor" Athletic Department Brunch *
Join us in the first-annual Homecoming Athletic Brunch, featuring
retiring physical education professors, the announcement of the Beré,
Tiemersma and GTE Academic All-American Awards; the High School Coaching
honorees; and one of our fine Calvin athletic teams. This year we will
spotlight the retirements of Don Vroon and highlight the men's and women's
golf and tennis teams. Brunch will be finished by the 12:45 women's basketball
game vs. St. Mary's.
The
Faith and Learning Award Luncheon *
The Faith and Learning Award will be presented to James Bosscher,
professor of engineering, emeritus. Former students of Dr. Bosscher and
of the engineering department are especially encouraged to attend this
special event. Commons Main Dining Room. The Outstanding Service Awards
will be presented at the Homecoming Candlelight Dinner.
The
Education Department Reunion Luncheon *
Teachers and non-teachers a like are invited to a lunch and
program in the Commons Lecture Hall. James Vanden Bosch, Professor of
English at Calvin, will be our special guest speaker. He is a 1970 graduate
from Calvin College and an Education major.
Homecoming
Candlelight Dinner *
Gather
with alumni and friends, young and old, for a fun, informal dining experience.
Despite the thematic decorations for A Knight on Broadway, "Black
Tie" is NOT an option for this meal. We will also honor recipients
of the Outstanding Service Award: Roger Brummel '61 and Carol Aukeman
Rienstra '69. Dinner will draw to a close by 7:45 p.m. so those that would
like to attend the Alumni Choir concert "A Knight on Broadway"
may do so.
