NOTE: There are two types of GRE tests: General and Subject. Only the Subject tests are offered at Calvin College. Subject tests are given in eight disciplines - biochemistry and cell & molecular biology, biology, chemistry, computer science, literature in English, mathematics, physics and psychology.
All registration is handled through ETS (Educational Testing Service). Information can be found at www.ets.org/gre. Please note that there is no advance registration handled at Calvin College.

Registrations must reach ETS in Princeton, NJ, by the receipt dates given in the table below. All subject tests are administered in the paper-and-pencil format.

Test Day Details for Calvin College Test Site
Reporting time for the subject tests is 8:30 AM.
Registrants should report to 1st floor of North Hall (campus map) prior to 8:30 a.m. for instructions. Standby registrants should report no later than 8:15 a.m. and sign up on the Standby Roster. Standby seating depends on the availability of extra tests; standbys are admitted in the order in which they have signed the roster.

Road signs on campus will give directions to the North Hall/DeVries Hall/Science Building complex and GRE Test signs will direct you to the North Hall location used for registation and testing. Parking is available in the lot to the west of the building.

About the GRE General Test
The GRE General Test is offered only in computerized format.The general test is available year-round at testing centers worldwide, including Prometric located at 3910 Burton SE in Grand Rapids. Appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. Call early to get your preferred test date; avoid the crowded testing period of November through January.
