Enrollment deposits

An enrollment deposit is required of all enrolling first-year, transfer and re-admitted students. This deposit serves as a confirmation of your plan to enroll at Calvin and is credited to your statement of Miscellaneous Charges. It is used as payment towards the orientation fee, housing application fee, (for students living on campus) Career Services Fee and any other charges the student might put on this account. The remainder is available for you to use towards other college expenses.

U.S. and Canadian students: $300

  • Career Services Fee: $40
  • Housing Application Fee: $25
  • Orientation Fee: $225

International students: $2,000

  • International Orientation Student Fee: $375
  • International Orientation Parent Fee: $50

Book and supplies

Estimated book and school supply costs, per year: $1,000.

KnightCare Insurance

To ensure that students have access to necessary medical care, Calvin requires all students to have health insurance coverage. The college offers coverage for you if you need it. KnightCare provides year round coverage for $1,356. You will be automatically enrolled in KnightCare unless you provide proof of comparable coverage and sign a waiver form by the specified date. Vehicle registration

Motor vehicles owned or operated by Calvin students must be properly registered with Campus Safety and must carry an official college parking permit.
