Invite Other Payers

Students

Making payments from the Advanced Payment Center allows you to:

  1. Schedule your payments.
  2. Keep bank information on file if they choose.  This is no need to re-enter number each time a payment is made.
  3. Have access to their payment history

Authorizing parents to pay on behalf of a student can be set up by the student in the Calvin Portal:

  • Click on the "Services" menu
  • Then "Student Accounts and Finances"
  • On the right side of the page, click on “Student Payment Center”.This will prompt you to leave Calvin’s website and go to Sallie Mae’s site – click “Continue”

First time users:

  1. Read & Accept “Terms & Conditions Agreement” by clicking on the box in the lower left, then click on “Continue” button.
  2. Review “Enrollment Personal Information” and add your e-mail address and birth date, if so desired.  Click on “Continue” button.
  3. Click on “My Profile” tab at the top of the screen if you want to keep you bank information permanently on file.  Choose type of bank account and enter in the requested information.
  4. Payment can be scheduled or made immediately by clicking on the “APS” tab in the top left hand side of the screen.

Invite other Payers:

On the “My Profile” tab, you have the option to invite others to pay on your behalf.  This will give the other payer (parents) their own Activation ID and password.

Parents

To begin, parents will need:

  1. Your student's Calvin College ID#
  2. An invitation from your student with the Subject line: Calvin College Payment Invitation
  • The text of the message will be similar to the following: Please click on the following link below to access this product. Click on the "Sign-Up" button and select the "Other Payer" button on the next page. You will be prompted for an Activation ID and a Student ID. Your Activation ID is

First time users:

  1. The parent should click on the link in the e-mail.
  2. Click on "New User"
  3. Read & Accept "Terms & Conditions Agreement."
  4. Enter in "Activation ID" which can be found in the body of the invitation e-mail.
  5. Enter in "Student ID#".
  6. Enter in requested "Personal Information".
  7. Complete "Enrollment Login Information".
  8. Click on “My Profile” tab at the top of the screen if you want to keep your bank information permanently on file. Choose type of bank account and enter in the requested information.
  9. Payment can be scheduled or made immediately by clicking on the “APS” tab in the top left hand side of the screen.
