Grants are financial aid that is free. Unlike loans, students don't have to pay these funds back. Federal, Michigan, and Calvin grants are based on a family's financial need according to the FAFSA and do not need to be repaid.

Federal Grants

State of Michigan Grants

Funding for this grant is contingent on the Michigan legislature continuing to support this program in the upcoming year.

Denominational Grants

Because Calvin receives regular contributions from the families of the Christian Reformed Church, students who are members or whose parents are members receive a denominational grant. The amount of the grant, with some exceptions, is based on the distance of the student's home from Calvin's campus.
