Academic scholarships for new students

Once admitted, you are automatically considered for academic scholarships based on information provided in your admission materials, including:

  • Unweighted cumulative GPA (based on a 4.0 scale)
  • ACT or SAT score (not including the writing section)
  • Admissions application information detailing involvement, leadership, honors and cross-cultural experiences.

Faculty Honors* 3.6 Unweighted GPA and a 26 ACT or 1170 SAT
Available for up to 5 years with a cumulative GPA of 3.3
$4,500–$6,000
Honors* 3.4 Unweighted GPA and a 24 ACT or 1090 SAT
Available for up to 5 years with a cumulative Calvin GPA of 3.2
$2,500–$4,000
Knollcrest* 3.2 Unweighted GPA and a 22 ACT or 1020 SAT
Available for up to 5 years with a cumulative Calvin GPA of 3.0
$1,000–$2,000

*These scholarships are available for transfer students. Cumulative college GPA is also taken into consideration.

Scholarship award reevaluation

As an admitted student, you can have your academic scholarship reevaluated based on:

  • new academic transcripts with a higher cumulative GPA
  • new ACT or SAT scores

Submit updated information to the financial aid office by March 1.
