Cory Stewart

Cory is a junior Biology major at Calvin College , who enjoys candlelight dinners and long walks on the beach. All joking aside, he is extremely excited to meet the BV community and is looking forward to seeing the way that God will work in the coming year. He also enjoys playing hockey and soccer as well as riding his bike.

Dana Baker

Dana is a junior from Rochester Hills, Mi. She an Elementary Education major with minors in Math, language arts, and early childhood education. Thus, she loves working with kids and adores the joy they bring to life. She is thrilled to be serving on the Barnabas Team this year, and knows full-heartedly that God is doing amazing things on this campus. She seeks an end to complacency in the form of passionate, real relationships that challenge individuals to live as the Lord intended.

Hannah Serfling

Hannah is a farm girl through and through. She grew up in southeast Minnesota on a family farm with beef, swine, sheep, chickens, and rabbits. She is currently a Junior at Calvin majoring in Religion and minoring in Sociology. Some of her favorite things include: crotcheting, taking walks, playing softball and volleyball, dancing, hanging out with her brother, and praying. Because of some hardships in the last year, she has learned the importance of trusting in God and putting all hope in the Lord. Hannah is looking forward to seeing how God will be working in the dorms in the 2006-07 school year.

Woody is a junior Religion major from Mercer, Pennsylvania . He has a passion for cultural engagement and relevance, as well as seeing the power of prayer in individuals and in communities. Woody loves to eat, loves the arts, and loves to groove

Amy VanderZwaag

Amy, aka " Alaska ," is a junior in her second year "down in America " after attending the University of Alaska Anchorage. An Elementary Education major, she is minoring in Language Arts and Science. Alaska is thrilled to be a part of the Barnabas Team and looks forward to spending time in fabulous BHT particularly Timmer. In her spare time, Alaska can be found kayaking, watching Dr. Quinn and laughing with family and friends. Please stop by her room to say hi! Nathan Beach

Nathan is a junior from Ann Arbor, MI, and is interested in Computer Science and Business. He loves playing sports (cycling, racquetball, tennis, ping-pong, and others) and is also into website design. Nathan is passionate about living life wholly for God, as David expressed in Psalm 27:4 (his favorite Bible verse).

Valerie Hopkins

Valerie is a Asian Studies major with a Chinese concentration. She is also working for a philosophy minor. Valerie is from St. Johns, Michigan. She loves reading, discussing philosophy, knitting, and her Barnabas partners. To find out more stop by Heyns.

Timothy Frazier

Timothy is a junior from Rancho Cucamonga, California. Seeking a deeper spiritual life through God is a priority to him. Family and supporting others are also some of his priorities. He likes to make people laugh especially after a hard week. He is on 3rd Huizenga and is around to give you a laugh or to just listen.

Daniel Williams

Daniel is a junior from Houston , TX ; Los Angeles, CA and Hanoi, Vietnam . He is in transition from an Engineering major to a Sociology/Philosophy major. He likes truth; usually in love, but also nurses the guilty pleasure of truth for its own sake. Daniel is excited to see what God will be doing in the coming year. On a lighter note, Daniel enjoys "good" movies and long talks on the beach.

Jennifer Van Winkle

Jen is a senior elementary education major from Wheaton, Illinois . She is excited about getting to know people, as well as encouraging them. She is always available for listening, praying, or as a shoulder to lean on. She loves talking with people! She's also very passionate about the Lord and about mentoring and encouraging the Christian community in the dorms. Jen has spent the past few summers as a nanny and loves children!

Andrew Tidball

Andrew is a third-year biochemistry student from Rockford , Michigan . He is excited about both encouraging and learning what it means to be a Christ-centered community. His door is always open to listen about your life, passions, and struggles. Andrew enjoys movies, reading, playing catch, ping-pong, and losing in Frisbee golf.

Samantha Ehlert

Hailing from Rockford Michigan , Samantha (or Sam) is majoring in Rhetoric Communications with a minor in youth ministry. She plays on the varsity softball team at Calvin and loves sports. Besides softball, she enjoys slalom water-skiing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, writing, singing, and deep conversations. She is most passionate about people knowing God's truth in everyday living, loving people, and having random crazy fun.

Justin Slocum

Justin is an electrical engineering major entering his junior year here at Calvin. Hailing from Detroit , MI or more specifically the suburb of Trenton, he loves most sports, music of all kinds, theological discussions, and worship of all kinds. Justin is extremely excited to see what God is going to do in SE in the upcoming year.

Kristi Buurma

Kristi Buurma is a junior from Celeryville, Ohio . She is studying Elementary Education with minors in Spanish and Math and hopes to go abroad to teach after graduation. Her interests include wakeboarding, dance, reading, and talking about the Holy Spirit, theology, and individual testimonies.

Brian Wilmarth

Brian is a junior Religion major with a Greek minor and hails from Chatham , Il (not Chicago). He plans on attending seminary to become a pastor and has been involved in ministry for the last few years in several forms in various places. He has passions for worship, discipleship, and building authentic relationships. He wants to see real, active faith in followers of Jesus who want to live their lives for Him. Brian's ultimate goals in life are to love the Lord and love others. He enjoys spending time with people, sports, and hearing stories.

Eric Beach

Eric is a junior majoring in Business-Communications from Ann Arbor, MI. He enjoys hanging out and playing sports (especially racquetball and baseball). Eric has a passion for knowing God, delving into Scripture, and participating in authentic Christian community. He desires that God use him to bring about renewal in the Calvin community. He hopes to go to business school or seminary.

Samantha is from Coleman, MI. She is majoring in International Development Studies. She enjoys a lot of things but especially talking with people and learning about what makes them tick.

Laura Sizemore

Laura is a junior Elementary Education major, minoring in Math and Science. She is a Calvin distance runner, and is excited about developing and growing in the Christian community in ALLIANCE , KE, and between both housing complexes. Laura loves God, running, worship, listening, talking, scrapbooking, crafting, baking, and making friends.
