The Christian Formation Office is offering a series of five gatherings for
enhancing your prayer life. The entire Calvin community is invited to attend one or all of the events.

2/5 A Protestant Rosary

Rev. David Muyskens will lead a time of contemplative prayer

Experience movement in prayer through walking a labyrinth

A time for sitting and writing in
confession as we offer ourselves to God

Silent Retreat- February 22 & 23
What is it?
A time to read, pray and contemplate one’s vocation or calling in a relaxed setting of silence in nature.
- Attendees will be encouraged to read scripture,
journal, and read Parker Palmer’s Let Your Life
Speak. Twenty hours of the retreat will be spent
in silence, including meals.
Where is it?
Camp Geneva in Holland, Michigan, along Lake Michigan
Time & Transportation:
Leave campus 6:15pm on Friday and return 10:00pm
on Saturday. Meet at 6:00pm at East Entrance to FAC.
All attendees must:
- Be part of the Calvin community
- Use Calvin transportation
What is provided:
- Transportation to and from Calvin
- Camp housing in heated cabins sleeping 12 persons
- 3 meals on Saturday, hot and cold beverages
- Parker Palmer’s book, Let Your Life Speak
What to bring:
Bible, journal, sleeping bag & pillow, toiletries, clothing (including appropriate outdoor wear), snacks to share Friday night
What not to bring:
Any technology (i.e. cell phone, computers, ipods etc.), homework or paperwork.
Registration:
In order to register you must be able to attend the entire retreat. Space is limited. Fill out a registration form at the Office of Christian Formation in the Commons Annex with your payment. Scholarships are available.
