Cindy is Co-Director for the Worship Apprentice program, and coordinates daily chapel services and other worship events. Planning worship and talking about life issues with college students give her great joy.

Cindy graduated from Calvin with an English degree and continues to enjoy studying literature and writing, worship and theology. She taught at Valley Christian High in Bellflower, California, and freshman English and Prelude at Calvin. After helping to create the worship planning team at her home church, Neland Avenue CRC, she continues to be involved there as a worship leader and elder.

Cindy has been married to Ed, a photojournalist and videographer, for over 25 years. Her daughter Amy coaches drama and music in an after-school program in New Jersey, and her son Blake enjoys being an RA in Beets. For relaxation and fun she participates in a monthly book club and a movie group, loves hiking and camping in the great outdoors, makes fudge and knits the occasional scarf.
