While his work remains rooted in his formation in Analytic Philosophy at Queen's Unversity, Belfast, and at Oxford University, he has worked extensively in historical, philosophical, systematic, and practical theology. He readily owns living in the cracks between Ireland and Britain, between the USA and Europe, and between the academy and the church. He has written extensively on topics related to revelation, inspiration, and authority. He is currently engaged in a multi-volume work on divine agency and divine action to be published by Oxford University Press.
