Induction Into Sigma Theta Tau International

On December 5, 2015 the Kappa Epsilon-At-Large Chapter of the international honor society for nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, held its annual induction and awards ceremony at the Prince Conference Center, Calvin College.

The Kappa Epsilon-At-Large Chapter represents the nursing programs of Calvin College, Hope College, Grand Valley State University and Ferris State University.

In recognition of their academic achievement, 17 Calvin College nursing students were inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International at this ceremony.  Calvin College professor and Robert Wood Johnson award recipient, Adejoke Ayoola, PhD, RN, delivered the address "Promoting the future of nursing through excellence in research".  Ben Brower (2016) was recognized for his achievements as the recipient of the Outstanding Student Award.  Calvin College professor, Gail Zandee, MSN, RN, was awarded the Excellence in Nursing Research Award for her contributions to the discipline in the area of Public Health and Community Based Nursing research.
