On-Campus Lodging
Calvin parents are always welcome to stay right on campus at the Prince Conference Center. However, the availability of guest rooms at the PCC is rather limited during Commencement weekend. Please identify yourself as a Calvin parent when making a reservation and at check-in to receive the Calvin parent rate.
Housing in residence halls
Lodging for parents and families of graduates is also available on campus in the residence halls on Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23. The residence hall rooms are arranged in suites — each suite features two bedrooms and a private bathroom. Bed linens and towels are furnished. The rooms are carpeted and have two twin-sized bunkbeds; all of the rooms are designated as non-smoking.

The room price includes a continental breakfast in the Knollcrest Dining Hall on the mornings of May 23 and 24. Parents: you are invited to attend the Breakfast for Parents of Graduates held on Saturday, May 23, at 9 a.m. in the Prince Conference Center. Please note that the Breakfast for Parents of Graduates is a ticketed event and is not included in the price of staying overnight in the residence halls.
Room reservations
To reserve rooms in the residence halls, return the reservation form (mailed to parents in December 2008) or contact the Campus Events Office at 616-526-6280. Reservations made after May 8 cannot be guaranteed.
Registration upon arrival
Upon arrival on campus follow the signs to the Kalsbeek-Huizenga-van Reken residence hall complex. The registration desk is open for these hours:
Friday, May 22: 3 p.m.–12 midnight
Saturday, May 23: 9 a.m.–1 p.m. and 5 p.m.–10 p.m.
Sunday, May 24: 12 noon to 2 p.m.
If you arrive after the registration desk has been closed, a key will be left in an envelope for you at the registration desk. The rooms will not be available for check-in on Friday, May 22 until after 3 p.m.
Payment for rooms
Pre-payment for on campus lodging expenses can be made by mailing a check/money order or by credit card. If you do not pre-pay and payment will be made on campus at the time of arrival, please be prepared to make payment by check or cash only. Credit card payments cannot be processed at the residence hall reception desks.
