Commencement Ceremony

Commencement Speaker:
George W. Bush,
President of the United States

Admission is by ticket only. Doors to the Calvin Fieldhouse will open at 11:00 am. Please continue to refer to this Web site as the most timely means of communicating this information. Doors to the Fine Arts Center, Chapel, and Gezon auditoriums (overflow seating) will open at 12:30 pm.
Due to limited seating, each graduate is entitled to up to four seats in the Fieldhouse and up to two seats in the Fine Arts Center or Gezon auditorium. The ceremony is televised and displayed on a theater-sized screen for overflow audiences in the Fine Arts Center, Chapel and Gezon Auditoriums. These additional venues are barrier-free, air-conditioned, and provide an ideal location for guests who may find the gymnasium bleacher seating uncomfortable. We anticipate many guests and heavy traffic, so please allow ample time for parking and walking to the facilities. (Media release regarding President Bush's acceptance of Calvin's invitation to speak at Commencement 2005, April 21, 2005)
Commencement Receptions
3:30 - 4:30 pm, Commons Lawn (tickets not required)
Please join us to honor the graduates and visit with Calvin faculty,
staff, and administrators. In case of rain, the receptions will be held
inside the various academic buildings.
At this time we do not anticipate that President Bush's schedule will allow him to remain on campus for the post-Commencement receptions.
