Starting Line & Time

The Karen Muyskens Family Fun Run immediately follows the Calvin 5K Spring Classic Walk/Run at 9:15 a.m. at the Prince Conference Center.

The Karen Muyskens Family Fun Run
The Family Fun Run is dedicated to the memory of Calvin professor Karen Muyskens who passed away in January of 2008. Karen, an avid marathoner, her husband Mark, and their 3 children have long been participants of the Family Fun Run, the 5k Spring Classic, and the School Challenge.

Fun Run Entry Fees

$8 per person ($25 maximum/family*)
*Please fill out one form per person; these will be used in the prize drawing!

Packet Pick-Up

T-shirt and Packet Pick-Up will ONLY be available the morning of the race from 6:45 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. at the Calvin Prince Conference Center.

Organizers & Sponsors

The Grand Rapids and Lakeshore Area Alumni Chapters of Calvin College host this race. Because of our generous corporate sponsors, all entry fees go toward student scholarships!

Participants and fans are all encouraged to donate to the Chapter's Scholarship Fund. Please indicate the amount on the registration form and enclose.

All kids 12 & under!

Awards

All kids 12 & under that register for the Fun Run will receive a race t-shirt, race number and runner packet. All ages are welcome to participate, so bring your mom, dad, grandma and grandpa! And, when your fun run is over, there will be prizes and cash give-aways in the gym for all registered race participants — 5K Run/Walk or Fun Run! Participants must be present to win.
