Join the Fun!

The Karen Muyskens Family Fun Run is dedicated to the memory of Calvin professor Karen Muyskens who passed away in January of 2008. Karen, an avid marathoner, and her family have participated in and supported the events of the Calvin Spring Classic for years.

We thank our generous partners for their support, allowing race proceeds to help fund scholarships for Calvin College.

Race details

• For children ages 3–8, with three different races (from 100 yards to 1/4 mile) divided by age groups.
• Youth participants receive a short-sleeve t-shirt and finisher ribbon.
• The race is open to all.
• Sorry, no refunds.

$8 per child, $25 maximum per household for the Fun Run.

6:45-9:45 a.m. Packet pick-up and walk-up registration in the Huizenga Tennis and Track Center.

9 a.m. 5k Run/Walk begins

10 a.m. Karen Muyskens Family Fun Run
The Fun Run will be held on the Sturrus Track in the Huizenga Tennis and Track Center.

10:30 a.m. Post-Race Party and Awards Ceremony

Every person who signs up on race day to be an organ donor, or who has a red heart donor sticker on their driver's license, will be entered in a drawing to win a 32GB iPad!

• Bring your driver's license or State Identification (ID) Card.
• Sign up at the Gift of Life table in the Hoogenboom Health and Recreation Center, or show us your driver's license with the organ donor red heart sticker.
• Be present to win.The drawing will take place after the race during the Post-Race Party and Awards Ceremony.
