Senior Ben Kuiper led the Knights, shooting a 74 on the par 72 course, good for fourth place individually. Sophomores Michael Wierenga and James Van Noord both shot 78, while senior Dave Sarkipato and junior Ross Ryzenga shot 79 and 83 respectively.

Junior Mark Allen competed individually and placed 13th with a score of 76 .

“We really scrapped it out on a tough day. It wasn’t the exact start we wanted but that’s why there are eight jamborees,” stated Allen.

“We didn’t bring our best at Milham Park but we fought hard and managed to leave ourselves in a decent position. We look forward to playing this Saturday and improving our position,” commented Van Noord.

The Knights compete again on Saturday, Sept. 15 at their second MIAA jamboree, hosted by Adrian.
