While Calvin does not require mandatory attendance to chapel, or as many religious courses as some local colleges, its commitment to the Christian mission is not in doubt.

According to the Princeton Review’s student polling, Calvin was ninth on the list of most religious students, Calvin’s highest ranking in any category.

The ranking came from the Princeton Review’s annual list of the 377 best colleges. Rankings were determined based on surveys taken by students across the country.

Calvin offers a plethora of options for spiritually hungry students, such as campus-wide Bible studies, daily chapel and spiritual mentors.

“One of the reasons I came to Calvin was so I could continue to explore my faith,” stated second-year student Sarah Hubbel.

“It’s so hard to keep your faith your own when you move away from home, and the vast array of options at Calvin are really helpful in that regard.”
