From October 13-31 the Calvin College Art Department presents "Live Emos: Fear Terrê," an exhibition of artwork by local artist Brandon Behning at the (106) South Division Gallery. The exhibition includes work that takes the form of figurative sculpture/painting and installation, as well as two dimensional work derived from concepts related to those involved in the construction and intention of the sculptures.

Brandon writes concerning the work proposed for the installation:
"I am deeply fascinated by the awkward qualities of life as highly powerful psychological triggers. Immediacy of my processes allows the expression of fleeting, intensely emotional or intellectually reactive states. Scale shifts, extra-physical forms attached to the figures and elements arbitrary to accurate/classical proportion of the human figure are intended to convey these qualities. The works proposed are archetypes of the awkward life."
