Enjoyable Movements - Sculptural Work and Jewelry by Jun Suk Min
From July 15 to August 19, the Calvin College (106) Gallery presents Enjoyable Movements, an exhibition of sculptural work and jewelry by artist Jun Suk Min. The artist is originally from South Korea and currenty serves as assistant professor at Kendall College of Art & Design of Ferris State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he teaches metals and jewelry design.
The artist writes, "We live in the world that is in a constant state of motion. Since childhood, I have always been interested in movement. In particular, I became interested in the shape, design and contours of mechanical movements in objects. In my works, the intention of these movements is to provide both visual varieties and satisfaction of the feel."
