Chicago Sculpture International 2008 Juried Exhibition

From October 2 to November 8 the Center Art Gallery at Calvin College is pleased to host the Chicago Sculpture International - 2008 Juried Exhibition. This exhibition is drawn from members of the Chicago Sculpture International, a local affiliate of International Sculpture Center. Members are internationally known and respected artists who joined CSI to "advance the understanding and creation of sculpture as a unique and vital contribution to society."

The exhibition was juried by members of the Calvin College Exhibitions Committee and the Department of Art and Art History. This show also coincides with the 21st International Sculpture Center Conference, "Sculpture in Public: Part 2, Public Art," presented in collaboration with Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park from October 2-4, 2008 in Grand Rapids.

Artist in the exhibition are: Jan Dean, Donna Hapac, Mary K. O'Shaughnessy, Toni Putnam, Ira Sapir, Sam Spiczka, Phillip Shore, Yvette Kaiser Smith and Joan Truckenbrod,
