From February 8 to March 8 the Center Art Gallery hosts the 2008 Alumni Photography Competition, featuring photographs by 26 Calvin Alumni. Held biennially, alumni exhibitions celebrate the work our alumni are creating and serve as a showcase for a particular medium that is taught in the Department of Art and Art History. This year the exhibition focuses on photography and was juried by Associate Professor of Art, Jennifer Steensma Hoag, who teaches all levels of photography at Calvin College. The artists in the exhibition are: Wayne Adams, Ellen Alderink, Robert Alderink, John Apol, Steve Bardolph, Jeff Casemier, William Chardon, Randy Dykstra, Bill Franson, Amelea Gritter, Tracy Rose Guajardo, David Huizenga, Steven Huyser-Honig, Will Krzymowski, Chris Meyer, Ryan Norman, Randall Nyhof, Cornelis (Neil) Prinsen, Jason Reiffer, Charles Ribbens, Ruth Ribeiro, Aaron Rider, Justin Van Genderen, Norman Vandervelde, Melanie VanderWal, and David Versluis. |
