Images from the Collection of Dr. Robert Pool
October 26 - December 15, 2012
From October 26 - December 15, the Center Art Gallery at Calvin College presents 120 Years of Photography: Images from the Collection of Dr. Robert Pool. This exhibition features a collection of both personal and collected images from Dr. Pool that illustrate the history of photography and its influence on his own work. Work by artists such as Edward Sheriff Curtis, Yousuf Karsh, Michael Kenna, Brett Weston and Edward Weston serve as a visual history of photographic techniques and styles. Complemented by Pool's own work, the collection demonstrates the importance of photographic history in the development of new photographers.
