The Calvin College Art Department presents the 2005 Senior Bachelor of Arts - Art Education Exhibition from December 2-17 in the Center Art Gallery. This exhibition represents the Art Education program at Calvin College and honors the work of six Art Education students who will complete their student teaching in the upcoming Spring Semester and graduate in May 2006. This group of students includes Bachelor of Arts in Art Education students Megan Alderink, Jessica Dubuc, and Kristin Kosowski, as well as Cathi Baber (BA), Laurel De Fouw (BFA) and Amy Teerman (BA), who have returned to complete a post-graduate K-12 certification.
The exhibition includes: paintings, drawings, ceramics, photography, artist books, and collaborative sculpture. In addition, all six artists have participated in the creation of a variety of interactive components designed to involve viewers of all ages and reflect their Art Education training.
An Exhibition Reception on Friday evening, December 2 from 7 - 9 p.m. will honor the artists.
The barrier-free Center Art Gallery, located on the lower level of the Spoelhof
College Center, is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.
to 5 p.m. on Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday. There is no admission charge.
