From October 2 to November 20, the Center Art Gallery at Calvin College presents Graphics by 20th Century Masters from the Cochran Collection, an exhibition featuring some of the most interesting American printmaking executed in the 20th century. Included in this exhibition are over 60 prints by well known artists such as Alexander Calder, Salvador Dali, Jasper Johns, Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Joan Miró, and Pablo Picasso.
These prints are drawn from the art collection of Wes and Missy Cochran, who have been assembling it for the last three decades, and live in LaGrange, a small town in the heart of rural Georgia. Their collection, which encompasses and portrays a cross section of contemporary artists and printmaking techniques, is one of the finest private art collections found anywhere in the United States.
