A Calvin Architectural Alumnni Exhibition

The Alumni Architectural Exhibition will be juried by Steve Fridsma of Progressive AE and Charles Young, Architectural Art History Professor. It will investigate the role of the architect as they design buildings investigating, solving, creating, and composing. We will go deeper into the process of architecture showing doodles, dead-ends, thumbnail sketches, tracing paper, study models, presentation drawings, construction documents and research that is generated along the way in a project process that will reveal a deeper story of the architecture then would a glossy photograph and a single floor plan. It will be an exploration of the design process particularly in the projects submitted by architectural alumni architects of Calvin College.
