Window into Eternity,
a Rediscovery of Holy Images

From Friday, September 1 to September 30, 2000
Window into Eternity, a Rediscovery of Holy Images presents a collection of contemporary icons with a view to illuminating the prayers of the viewers. Jerry Eisley, curator of the exhibition, writes, “The icon as extension of the Incarnation (of Jesus) reduces the distance between this world and the next.” The nineteen artists participating in this exhibition include Thomas Xenakis, Pavel N. Tikhomirov, Xenia Pokrovsky and Marek Czarnecki. This traveling exhibition was organized by CIVA (Christians in Visual Art), a national organization for Christians working in all areas and styles of visual arts.
The barrier-free Center Art Gallery, located on the lower level of the Spoelhof College Center, is open 9 a.m.to 9 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
