A workshop led by Amanda Worst, MSW, equips community members with a research-based approach to suicide prevention. This is a certification workshop developed by the QPR Institute for Suicide Prevention. QPR was developed to help you help someone who may be considering suicide. QPR focuses on three life-saving skills: Question, Persuade, and Refer. Similar to CPR, QPR is easy to learn and may help save a life.
We do not charge for the training, but do ask for $2 per attendee to cover the required QPR booklet that is given to each participant. This booklet is a helpful resource, and gives participants access to certification and additional resources.
To find out more or to request a training, contact Amanda Worst, certified QPR instructor, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 616-526-6126.
