 Once again, Calvin’s Artist Series offers a variety of
musical styles and talents that we are certain will appeal to regular
concertgoers and new audiences alike. This seventh season again brings
The Artist Series together with the Irving S. Gilmore International
Keyboard Festival based in Kalamazoo, a collaboration that we enjoy and
to which we very much look forward with anticipation.
The commitment of our season ticket holders, patrons and advertisers
makes The Artist Series possible, and we are grateful for all
of them. We also thank our state and regional arts advocacy organizations
for their assistance in funding The Artist Series and its educational
programs.
Our 2007–2008 season offers a delightful early music ensemble with
arrangements that speak to the heart and the mind; an innovative exploration
of music for voices and instruments; a return visit by a choral favorite;
one of America’s leading jazz
ensembles; and a world-renowned piano soloist. This year, we will again
precede each concert with an educational outreach that appeals to many
age groups and constituencies. We hope you can join us for the entire
series, but even if you are able to attend only one or two, I am pleased
to share this series with you!
