On Saturday, October 8, 2005, local alum, Kyle Farley '95 will lead us on a journey into the past. Philadelphia was William Penn’s “Holy Experiment,” an attempt to see if people from different faiths (and thus different ethnicities) could live together and flourish. This tour will cover the history of Philadelphia, from its founding in 1682 through 1800, and explore the ideals, tensions, and triumphs of this colonial town by looking at religion, economics, politics, and ethnicity.
