The Cardboard Canoe Race

The Cardboard Canoe Race is an annual event put on by K4L and ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) every fall. In the weeks preceding the event, competitors construct canoes out of three simple materials: cardboard, trash bags, and duct tape. On race day, they brave the turbulent waters of the infamous Seminary Pond. The judges award prizes for the fastest time, the largest number of people in a vessel, and the most stylish design. Spectators are welcome. Anchors away!
