January 2008: The Calvin/Hope Satellite Game - photos available

March 10, 2007: Calvin Alumni Choir Concert at Butterfly World in the Grand Pavilion. There will be a reception in the Buckeye shelter immediately following.

At the concert, you will enjoy a musical brunch ranging from a pristine 17th century Monteverdi motet to a rollicking gospel arrangement by America's rising star arrangers Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory. In between, savor a pulsating Shona gathering song, the lush beauty of Johannes Brahms and Randall Thompson, and the heartfelt spiritual arrangements of Moses Hogan and
Alice Parker.

Then, you are welcome to join us in touring Butterfly World. This unique venue is owned and operated by Calvin supporter Ron Boender. Calvin College is grateful to Ron for hosting this special event.

Please print this page or the postcard as your free admission into Butterfly World. Directions to the facility can be found on their website.

Quentin Schultze and Marilyn Liesman at our event...

February 11, 2007:

Quentin Schultze, professor of Communication, Arts and Sciences and the Arthur DeKruyter Chair in Faith and Communication will speak on the topic: "Called for Life."
Our calling is not our job, career, or occupation.  It begins at birth and never ends.  If we don't embrace it regularly, our calling will slip away from us.  Yet there is nothing more satisfying than knowing, accepting, and living our calling.  Discover your calling at this session -- along with the ways that Calvin College is renewing calling for freshman through seniors at the cutting edge of renewed Christian higher education.
