Please note:
In subsequent communications we would like to introduce to you the future Calvin alumni who have just started at Calvin and share their stories with all of you. We plan to do this via email, sent from the local chapter. If you are not currently on our email list and would like to be, please contact Ernie Krauth (720-339-4703).

As many of you know, Calvin was once again recognized for its excellence by both U.S. News and World Report and by The Princeton Review. Calvin was ranked number #2 in its category in the Midwest by U.S. News and was named as one of the 350 Best Colleges by the Princeton Review. Many of us, young and old, are not surprised by this recognition, for we know Calvin continually strives to maintain a distinctively Christian and excellent academic reputation. We hope this understanding inspires you to continue to support Calvin.

One way for you to make an immediate impact is by supporting the Colorado Chapter in its fund-raising efforts. We were thrilled to be able to give nine scholarships in 2005, and this year we would like to increase that number. A good portion of the money came from gifts many of you gave. Remember, too, that the national Alumni Association matches local chapter contributions up to $2,500 per chapter per year.

If you wish to make a contribution to the Colorado Alumni Chapter Scholarship Fund, write out a check to the Calvin Alumni Association, put “Colorado Chapter Scholarship” in the memo line and send it to Chapter Treasurer Mike Van Donselaar, 4744 S. Willow St., Denver, CO 80237.

Finally, we ask that you continue to promote Calvin whenever or wherever you can. If you know of high school students looking for a quality Christian college, tell them about Calvin. You can direct them to the Calvin web site, or refer them to Calvin by using this site.

If you have ideas for chapter events, speakers, fund-raisers, let us know. And lastly, but most importantly, continue to pray for the college, for the students and staff and that Calvin may continue to train young Christians to take their places in God’s kingdom.

On behalf of the Colorado Calvin Alumni Association,

Barry Meyer
