Black Knights Formal 2005

Purpose:
The Black Knights Formal is a dinner/social hosted by African and African American Calvin students. It began in 2004 as an opportunity for African and African American students to build relationships and strengthen the African and African American community on campus.

In the past few years, alumni have been invited to this event which also notes the achievements of graduating seniors. Calvin black alumni are invited to the dinner and encouraged to take this opportunity to meet with Calvin's current black students. Don't miss this year's edition of this exciting gathering!

Black Knights Formal 2005

2. To appreciate the uniqueness of both cultures
3. To begin to break down myths about each other through relationship building
4. To appreciate each other as African and African American sisters and brothers
5. To create an opportunity to meet other African and African Americans.
