What majors are offered?

Calvin offers nearly 100 majors, minors, and programs.

 What is the average class size?

An average class at Calvin has 22 students. The largest class, Biology 141, has 50 students with lab sections of 20-25. Small classes mean more individual attention from professors, and allow students to better engage with material.

What is the student to faculty ratio?

The student to faculty ratio at Calvin is 12:1. Calvin professors are dedicated to teaching undergraduates and desire to build relationships with students. Integrative teaching and availability to students are considered top priorities by faculty members.

What study-abroad opportunities are available?

Calvin is among the top schools in the country for study abroad opportunities. Calvin offers eleven semester programs in Spain, Mexico, Honduras (2), England, Washington D.C., Hungary, China, France, Ghana, and New Mexico as well as 25 to 30 off-campus Interimseach year.

If Calvin doesn't have the program you're looking for, agreements with other colleges allow Calvin students to study almost anywhere in the world.

Are tutors or other academic support available if I need it?

Yes! Academic Services offers academic support to all students including free tutoring and study assistance, resources for students with disabilities, ESL services and more. Also, student employees at the Rhetoric Center can help you get started, revise or edit your papers and presentations.
