Steps to apply

In order to apply to Calvin, submit the following:

• Completed online application, including essays and application fee. For a paper application, contact us or print a .pdf.
• High school transcript (.pdf)
• Academic recommendation - complete online with your application, or download a .pdf
• Test Scores from the SAT or ACT (not required for applicants with two or more years of previous college experience or applicants age 21 or older).
• Transcript(s) from any college(s) you previously attended. An official transcript is required for transfer credit evaluation.

We accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year.

Admission Standards: Transfers

• GPA of 2.0 if transferring from a 4-year institution; 2.5 if transferring from a 2-year institution
• ACT or SAT scores: see below
• 3 years of college prep math, beginning with Algebra 1
• High school diploma or equivalent degree (GED)
• These are the minimum requirements for admission. A first-year student profile reflects the middle 50% of our students.

The writing sections of the ACT and SAT are not required.

The Committee on Admissions will review applicants who fall below the GPA and ACT/SAT requirements on an individual basis.

Application Deadlines

Completed applications are considered on a rolling basis until the deadlines below. For maximum scholarship consideration, apply by February 1.

*We do not accept international applications mid-year unless you are an international student in the U.S. who is transferring to Calvin.
