Steps to apply for admission

Calvin accepts applications on a rolling basis until the deadlines listed below.

Choose one of the following ways to apply:

Submit your high school transcript(.pdf download)*

STEP 3

Submit an academic recommendation online with your application, or download a .pdf.

STEP 4

Submit test scores from the SAT (code: 1095) or ACT (code: 1968).

  • Not required for applicants with two or more years of previous college experience or applicants age 21 or older

STEP 5

Submit transcripts from any colleges previously attended. An official transcript is required for transfer credit evaluation.

Admission standards for transfer students

  • GPA of 2.0 if transferring from a four-year institution; 2.5 if transferring from a two-year institution
  • ACT or SAT scores: see below
  • 3 years of college prep math, beginning with Algebra 1
  • High school diploma or equivalent degree (GED)
  • These are the minimum requirements for admission. A first-year student profile reflects the middle 50% of our students.

The writing sections of the ACT and SAT are not required.

The Committee on Admissions will review applicants who fall below the GPA and ACT/SAT requirements on an individual basis.

Completed applications are considered on a rolling basis until the deadlines below. For maximum scholarship consideration, apply by February 1.

Non-Degree Students applying for readmission or non-degree seeking students are admitted on a space-available basis until the first day of classes.

*We do not accept international applications mid-year unless you are an international student in the U.S. who is transferring to Calvin.
