Steps to apply

In order to apply to Calvin, submit the following:
*Americans living internationally, follow steps for the first-year student application. Canadian? Go here.

  1. Completed online application, including essays and application fee. You may also download and print the application (.pdf).
  2. Transcripts from any high school and/or college(s) attended and any National Exam Test Results (if applicable)
  3. Academic recommendation - complete online with your application, or download a .pdf
  4. Applicable test scores (see Testing Guidelines)
  5. Profile of Educational Background Form
  6. International Student Application for Financial Aid (if requesting aid) or International Student Full Pay Agreement (if not requesting financial aid) and supporting financial documents. 

We do not accept forms from any other sources such as The College Board and we require all supporting documents to be original or certified copies.

Admission Standards: International

Financial commitment
You must show the ability to meet a certain level of financial commitment in order to be admitted to Calvin. You may need to apply for financial assistance. Find out more »

Application Deadlines

Completed applications are considered on a rolling basis until the deadlines below. For maximum scholarship consideration, apply by February 1.

*We do not accept international applications mid-year unless you are a US citizen, Canadian citizen, or an international student in the U.S. who is transferring to Calvin.
