Mission Statement:
The Calvin College Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) seeks to serve four main purposes. First, ASCE seeks to promote ethical responsibility, professional conduct, and the stewardship of natural resouces through a Reformed Perspective. Second, ASCE seeks to promote the study and practice of Civil Engineering amongst not only engineering students but also the whole Calvin College Community. Third, ASCE seeks to develop connections between Calvin College Civil Engineering students, area professionals, and the people of Western Michigan. Lastly, ASCE seeks to provide a forum for Calvin College students interested in Civil Engineering aspects to socialize across class boundaries in preparations for entering the professional community.
