Mission Statement:
The Airband Committee seeks to develop, organize, and plan for the Airband show. Through auditions, discussions, and follow-up meetings, the committee will serve to unite the Calvin College student body and staff in the culmination of the event. Airband provides a time when both lower and upper classmen can meet together to share an evening of entertainment and dancing, and it provides these students with a safe and enjoyable evening. Though Airband serves mainly an entertainment purpose, it also allows students from all backgrounds and interests to gather together and learn about music. Students can evaluate each act based on its skill level, entertainment value, and work ethic. As students of Calvin College, the Airband committee members are devoted to making wise decisions concerning the atmosphere, content, and attitudes that make up the publicity and production of the show. With Christ as Guide, the commitee strives to show love and respect to all that participate and perform in the show.
