Residence Hall Community Partnerships. Make your presence known.
Howdy there, residence hall dwellers. Interested in service-learning, but not sure where to start? Just look to your residence hall's community partnership! Each and every residence hall on our humble campus maintains an ongoing service-learning partnership with an area organization or program. These range from after school tutoring programs to daycare activities to working with those with special needs.
Each partnership needs willing students such as yourself to make it happen. The CPC partnerships will be starting up at the end of September/beginning of October, so if you're interested in getting involved, contact your local residence hall CPC. You can find your CPC at this website: http://www.calvin.edu/admin/slc/students/cpc/. Questions? Email slc@calvin.edu

Volunteer Basketball Coach Needed
Every Thursday night, Eastown Ministries holds a Game & Socializing time for the neighborhood. In the past they had someone who would help coach basketball to the teens during this time but currently they do not have anyone to work in that capacity now. So they are looking for someone who would volunteer their time and talents to coach their teens and be a positive and personal role model to these teens. Interested persons should call Jim Carpenter at 616-785-2721 if you are able to help in this way.
