North Channel Sea Kayaking and Climbing ($350)

Description: On this trip, students will embark together on a six day self-supported sea kayak paddle through the historic North Channel. Along the way students will camp on granite islands and peninsulas, climb and rappel a rock face that drops 60 feet to the water below, and gain the skills needed to safely travel and live out of their kayak for a week. Most students even learn the “Eskimo role”!
Northern Ontario Backcountry Paddle ($350)
Location: Algonquin Provincial Park

Description: Algonquin Provincial Park is a best kept secret for canoeists and “fisher-folks”! On this trip, students will begin with a paddle school that will allow them to master their Canoeing skills. The group will then journey from lake to lake by canoe. Students should anticipate enjoyable paddling, challenging portages, warm water for swimming, great river and lake fishing, and stunning wilderness! An additional $30 will be charged for a Canadian fishing license.
Northern Lake Michigan Coastal Cycle ($350)

Description:This six day experience is designed for the expereinced or inexpereinced adventurer who loves to cycle and spend time on the beach! This trip will begin south of Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes National Lakeshore and culminate at Wilderness State Park. Over the six-day trip, students will ride the most beautiful stretch of coastal road, covering about 30 miles a day, in the Great Lakes region. After a morning cycle tour along the Lake Michigan coast, students will have multiple opportunities to enjoy Michigan’s best beaches along Traverse, Little Traverse Bay, and the Mackinaw Straights area. Students should anticipate camping at Platte River, Lake Leelanau area, Torch Lake area, Petoskey State Park, and Wilderness State Park. If you need a bike or helmet to use for the trip, Calvin rents road cycles for $50 and helmets for $10.
Red River Gorge Rock Climbing ($350)
Location: Red River Gorge Kentucky

Description: The “Red” is the most famous rock climbing area in the Eastern United States. On this course students will learn how to climb slabs, cracks, face, and overhanging rock routes; explore the trails of the Red River Gorge Geological area; rock climb five continuous days at five different areas; and camp at Natural Bridges State Park. This course is tailored to beginners and experienced climbers alike. All students will gain instruction in belaying techniques, movement technique, and rappelling. Students should also anticipate stops for pizza and ice cream at the locally infamous Miguel’s!
