Wilderness PASSPORT Registration

PASSPORT and the Wilderness Program

In addition to participation on a Wilderness trip, you will attend a traditional PASSPORT session. Family members are strongly encouraged to attend PASSPORT as well. You may choose to attend a PASSPORT session that coincides with a Wilderness session, but you do not have to. Date option 1 will leave immediately after PASSPORT III (July 27 & 28 ). Date option 2 will return in time to participate in PASSPORT IV (August 31 and Sept. 1). We do ask that if you will be traveling less than 8 hours to Calvin please select an earlier session (PASSPORT I, II or III).

There are several steps that you need to complete before you arrive:

  1. Register yourself and your family members for the PASSPORT program on e-Enroll
  2. Select Calvin's Wilderness Orientation Program within e-Enroll
  3. Applications will be reviewed by the orientation staff. You will be notified.
  4. Pay your enrollment deposit, if you haven’t already.
  5. We will mail you additional forms to complete once you have been accepted for the program.
  6. Be sure you have received three confirmation emails from the Student Development Office
    • the first, two weeks following your registration
    • the second, one month prior to your session
    • the third, one week prior to your session
  7. Print out driving directions and a campus map

Register online using e-Enroll.  Register early to increase the chances you’ll get into the session you want.  Preference will be given to students applying before May 1.

If you have already registered for PASSPORT, please email orientation@calvin.edu to request an application for the Wilderness Orientation.

If you need to make changes to your Orientation registration, fill out the Orientation Changes web form.

Checking-In

Information for your specific trip will be emailed to you closer to the date.

If you are attending Wilderness before PASSPORT

Specific check-in details for your trip will be emailed to you prior to your trip.

If you are attending Wilderness after PASSPORT

Upon arrival follow the road signs to the Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex. Make your way to the turn-around in front of the fieldhouse where you'll receive a personalized schedule and obtain a resource packet.
